Great post! I think that the inability of the rationalist community to accept unpleasant blackpills is one of their biggest weaknesses.

I write a bit more about some of these blackpills in my own substack: perhaps you would be interested in taking a look at some point.

I read your article and I agree with everything you say. I especially agree with your notion that economics is a flawed discipline because I myself see established economists ignore easily accessible information that just doesn't fit their world-view.

If you haven't looked into ergodicity economics I would suggest you to do that. Through pretty simple math and computer simulations it can be shown without shadow of a doubt that fundamental principles of capitalist economics are just *false*. Why is nobody looking at that information? I think we all know why.

I think economics can be started from scratch using first principles, and at some point I might attempt to do that, there's just never enough time.

Good substack. I looked through your posts, I am impressed by your stuff on uncertainty. I agree that the the number one enemy of knowledge is not ignorance but false certainty.

You seem intelligent and right headed, and sadly this will work against you in the attention hierarchy. Most people suck, as you've discovered, and as such suckage positively correlates with popularity strongly. Kim Kardashian is more popular than John Stewart is more popular than Scott Alexander is more popular than you.
